4 Ingredient Tahini Pistachio Date Bars

Prep Time 5 mins Cook Time 5 mins Rest Time 1 hr Total Time 1 hr 10 mins
Servings: 12

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Start by removing the pits from the dates and place them along with oats, tahini, 5 tablespoons of lukewarm water in the food processor.
  2. Blend on full power for about 5 minutes or until the texture is crumbly and when squeezed in your hands it holds together.

  3. Line a medium sized casserole dish (anything with an edge) with greaseproof paper and spread the mixture evenly.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate on top, spread it evenly and top with crushed pistachios or any other nuts.
  5. Cool in fridge for an hour before cutting the bars.
  6. Fill a glass with boiling water and dip the knife in there, quickly dry and cut into the bar. The hot knife allows you to cut into the chocolate without it cracking.
  7. Enjoy with a hot cup of tea or coffee.

Note

  • Feel free to use dark chocolate, it will be amazing.
  • If you want a thick layer of chocolate then use 200 - 250 grams of chocolate. But for a thiner layer 150g is more than enough.
  • Feel free to top these bars with anything you fancy.
